Blog EntryTribute to a Fave Onscreen Couple, Rick and EvieJun 25, '08 4:15 AM
for everyone
Found this on youtube :)Not my only fave film couple, but definitely one of the few faves that I have, with the upcoming 3rd installment of The Mummy, I couldn't help but look back on Rick and Evie, aside from Disney's Jane and Tarzan, my other fave film couple, Rick and Evie always light up the screen together, it's pretty sad they're not together in the 3rd one. In a few days i'll write about my fave onscreen leading ladies, real and animated, naturally Evelyn is one of them :) My fave ladies always seem to have some sort of taray factor, clutziness, natural kwela, conservative style, bihirang bravery, and love for literature :)

Blog EntryA fave song with a fave movieApr 9, '08 10:57 AM

Mom and I just watched Emma!  This video posted by a fan on youtube has an unlikely audio track for this movie sequence :)  But it's a fave song of mine and I love this movie.

In the movie, Awakenings, Robert De Niro's character, a patient who woke up from a 30 year catatonic state, is in love with the girl played by Penelope Ann Miller, but the impressive effects of medication that seemingly brought the miracle of his awakening start to fade and he slowly becomes a vegetable again but she dances with him for the first and last time before that happens and it takes the abnormal twitching away because he loves her.  If there's any cure for the broken spirit...it's unconditional love.  How do you show love even when the moment is so awkward?  The test of true compassion is what this scene shows.

Blog EntryA Knight's Tale Ends - Heath Ledger dies at 28Jan 22, '08 8:57 PM

Honestly.  I don't feel like writing.  Just wanted tell you all that I'm deeply affected by this but can't explain why.  I guess I kind of got attached after watching the Patriot over and over with my family, and we always cried during that movie when his wife died then he would die in Mel Gibson's arms.  He could sing, dance, and boy could he act.  His last role the Joker in this year's upcoming sequel to Batman Begins, the Dark Knight, looks like it will still stun audiences with his talent for a long time after this untimely passing.  He was Heath Ledger.
